WVU is committed to a set of transformation initiatives as part of an effort to improve efficiencies and operate at an optimum level. Ultimately, the institution aims to implement strategies that lead to more effective management of resources and provide for transformative growth. One of the key strategies is the transformation of numerous business offices across campus into a lesser number of consolidated shared administrative services operations that simplify and standardize business functions, consolidate and better coordinate administrative and financial support services, and reduces overall operational costs. Our team is responsible for assisting the units served in the areas of HR/Payroll, Grants Management, A/P, A/R, and Financial Reporting and Budgeting. Our goal is to provide efficient and effective financial and administrative services and solutions focused on unit needs and university-wide objectives.
About our Director:
Tami Cira currently serves as the Director of the Administrative Units Shared Service Center. She began her career at West Virginia University in 2001 and over the past 16 years has held various positions within the Provost Expert Business Office. Before moving to the Shared Service model she was the Chief Business Officer for the Provost Business Office. Ms. Cira earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with an emphasis in accounting from West Virginia University.
She is responsible for cultivating an environment of customer service and providing customized support to the units served. She is dedicated to providing strong leadership, continuous process improvement, a collaborative environment and staff development.
